A well deserved congratulations to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office Trial Team!!!
I thought you might like to hear this and pass on a “thank you and well done” to everyone else who worked on this. The last of 27 co-defendants pled guilty yesterday on this case. We like to believe it is partially due to seeing how prepared we were and how professional Trial Director presented the wiretap phone calls.
Thank you very much for all your hard work and dedication to assisting our office! It is greatly appreciated!

Ventura County District Attorney’s Office
An excerpt from The Ventura County Star:
“The charges against Mora were related to an extortion and drug ring he created on behalf of the Mexican Mafia, the District Attorney’s Office said. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office in 2012 began a months-long, multi-agency wiretap investigation into Mora, his Mexican Mafia associates and the heads of each of the gangs in Ventura County, prosecutors said.
As a result of the investigation, 27 people were indicted on conspiracy, extortion, assault, weapons and drug crimes, with 24 of those people pleading guilty, prosecutors said. The other three remain in Mexico or federal custody, prosecutors said.”
